Ana María Cortés es Astra. Su nombre artístico proviene de su interés en la mitología, el esoterismo y la espiritualidad. Con una fuerte influencia de los ritmos urbanos latinos, es una talentosa y multifacética artista que espera refrescar la escena con una propuesta dinámica y original.

Astra demuestra su innato talento para el canto, el baile y la composición desde muy corta edad. es una amante de la música urbana y desarrolló su forma de rapear estudiando a personajes como Jay-z, Lil Wayne o Kanye West, la escritura de letras, que es su mayor pasión junto al canto, se convirtió en su mejor forma de expresar al mundo sus ideas y llevarle al público mensajes positivos
MI HISTORIA
4 Durante algunos años Astra estuvo preparando su lanzamiento como artista: escribió y co-escribió letras y melodías, perfeccionó su forma de cantar hasta encontrar su estilo. Realizó estudios de Music Business para conocer como manejar su naciente carrera, llegando así a crear su propio sello disquero llamado CORTES ENTERTAINMENT.

Luego de algunos años en Estados Unidos y Canadá vuelve a Colombia con la intención de fortalecer su proyecto musical y su sello disquero para convertirlo en una plataforma para otros nacientes artistas.

En el 2010 grabó su primer sencillo que se titula “ESTE AMOR” producido por Camilo Vega y Eusebio Valderrama, y con la masterización de Tom Coyne.

Su 2ndo sencillo ¨AQUELLAS CARTAS¨ es un tema bastante fuerte y pegajoso compuesto por AstrA, gira en torno a experiencias personales que vivió la cantante. Tras su éxito, compone su 3er sencillo “CON CUIDADO” la cual es producida por Dj Dark, mezclada por Mosty y masterizado por Michael Fuller.

A eso le siguió su 4to sencillo ¨BENDITA SOLEDAD¨ canción escrita por ella misma inspirada en ya saber lo que se quiere y en vez de vivir en pareja peleando, generando mala vibra, preferir la soltería hasta que llegue el amor indicado.

Su 5to sencillo que se encuentra sonando en todas las emisoras de Colombia, junto al famoso cantante puertorriqueño Alberto Stylee, se titula “DOBLE DE EDAD” y fue producida por Saga Neutron

Su 1er sencillo lanzado en Centro América, titulado “DAME TIEMPO”, letra escrita por ella misma y producido por LunyTunes, reconocidos productores del genero urbano.

4 For some years Astra was preparing its launch as an artist: he wrote and co-wrote lyrics and melodies, perfected his singing to find your style. He studied Music Business to learn how to manage their nascent career, reaching create his own record label called CORTES ENTERTAINMENT.

After a few years in the United States and Canada returns to Colombia with the intention of strengthening its musical project and his record to make it a platform for other emerging artists label.

In 2010 he recorded his first single entitled "This Love" produced by Vega and Eusebio Camilo Valderrama, and mastering Tom Coyne.
