About Radio FM 90s

This free simple (No Adverts!) prayer times app automatically updates the 5 daily prayer times and also lets you know when the sun rises. It's very flexible. You can set wether or not you want to hear particular a particular athan. You can set it to give you a voice announcement when it's time to perform your salat and also set voice reminders to make wudu before the prayer.

This app has a Qibla locator for devices with a compass. If it has a compass, you will see a binoculars button. Please move your phone in a figure 8 layout for at least 15 seconds every time you use the Qibla locator for the best accuracy. The app may ask you to calibrate your compass with instructions. A right pointing finger or a left pointing one will be shown that tells you which way to turn for the Qibla. Please turn slowly until a Kaaba is displayed. If you want to cancel the Qibla locator, you can tap either the left or right pointing finger if it is displayed or the Kaaba icon.

All 5 salat times are displayed including a countdown for the upcoming salat. The prayer times are displayed in 3 different colours:

Black - Basic information to let you know when the prayer comes in.
Blue - Indicates you should make wudu before the prayer.
Green - Indicates that that prayer has come in.

*** If you like this app, please give it a good rating and review and Sadakah by making a duhah for my family and I and / or sending a donation to my PayPal account using my email address.

By the way, there are no nag screens or adverts in any of my apps. Why? They are just plain annoying. :-)

Basic setup:
After installing the app, just open it and it will ask for permission to use location. Please give the app permission because it needs the GPS to know your location to calculate the prayer times. Next just exit it. Also do this if you reboot your phone. The app will now run in the background and update the prayer times based on your location.

If you need to change to another prayer calculation method, tap "Settings" from the first screen when you open the app. Next, tap "Select Calculation Method" and you can choose one of the 7 calculation methods from the screen that pops up. When you tap "Choose", the prayer times will be updated to reflect the change you made.

You can mute all app sounds by tapping "Vibrate Only" light bulb to light it.

If you are traveling or frequently do Fajr near your home and Dhuhr and Asr at a location that has different prayer times, tap the "I'm Traveling" light bulb from "Settings" until it lights up. The prayer times will be updated every 2 minutes automatically and you don't need the internet for that to happen. Just a note, it will use some more battery power for this.

If you want to make changes to the default settings on each salat, tap one of the salat settings icons on the "Settings" screen. As an example, let's go through the settings for the Asr salat. Upon tapping "Asr Settings" another screen will be displayed where you can adjust the volume for that particular salat athan. There are 3 different athan choices that can be played at salat time for Asr. You can hear what each sounds like if you tap the speaker icon next to a particular athan. Tapping a speaker icon starts the sound and tapping it again stops it from playing. While the athan is playing you can adjust the volume so you get it at a volume that's comfortable for you. Also on that screen are 3 light bulbs. You can choose if you want to hear a voice prompt announcing when the salat time is reached as well as when to do wudu and also if you want to hear the athan for Asr to be played at salat time.

This app has a widget so you can see the prayer times live without opening up the app. To set up the widget, just open up the app then exit it. You can now use your devices app launcher to set up the widget. Once the widget is displayed on your screen, you can open the app by tapping the widget.

Please email me if you need help.

Well, that's it.
