ActiveTravel is powered by TravelVu trip detection and automatically gives you a travel diary suggestion, including all your trips during the day, without you needing to indicate when you are moving. To get feedback on your trips, review the suggestion, adjust if necessary and then confirm the day.

To be able to catch all your trips, the app use GPS in the background. This can have an impact on battery usage. In order to conserve battery while you are stationary, ActiveTravel will use the accelerometer to detect when you start to move, then activating the GPS-logging.
