Alertifi - Crash Response APK

     Driving accidents can happen suddenly and unexpectedly even to the best drivers. When this happens it is vital to get assistance as quickly as possible; ideally within the golden hour, the first hour after a traumatic injury which is considered the most critical for emergency treatment. However some roads are less traveled or accessible than others and so drivers experiencing accidents in these areas may not receive care quickly due to a delay in the accident being reported. This is a major concern for drivers and emergency responders. Others have sought to address this through crash detection systems built into vehicles. But many people don't have such systems in their vehicles or activating these systems are otherwise prohibitively expensive. Also such systems exclude motorcyclists and scooter drivers which have less protection in the event of an accident.

Our Solution
     We believe fast emergency response should be made accessible and affordable. Many people carry around smartphones with sensors akin to the aforementioned, possibly prohibitively expensive built in sensors, thus we utilized this untapped potential to make affordable crash reporting available to millions of people.

The Safety Features Should be 100% Free
     We don't charge for the safety features of Alertifi, we want everyone to use it to increase the likelihood that they will receive fast emergency response when they need it most.

We Only Charge for Convenience
     We only charge for the motion sense feature or the Alertifi devices, both of which allow for Alertifi to function completely automatically so you won't even need to open the app after installation and a quick setup. The motion sense feature occasionally probes your phones sensors to detect whether or not the user is driving and is preferable for motorcycles and scooters, and can also be used with any vehicle you drive or ride in. The Alertifi companion device (at AlertifiApp.com) also starts the applications driving service when your in range of the device.

We Care About Your Battery Life
     We rigorously optimized Alertifi to lower battery consumption while still maintaining it's core functionality. Yes Alertifi uses your phone's sensors and yes this makes decreasing battery consumption difficult, but through repeated testing and iteration we've drastically cut battery use, seeing about <1-2% on devices tested on an average day (variations may occur with amount of time driving and type of phone used).

Advisory: The driving service must be activated before driving, either manually, with the motion sense feature or with the companion device (a notification will appear when the driving service starts). In the event the crash activity is triggered when not due to a crash pull over in a safe area to deactivate, then increase the acceleration threshold in settings to prevent false positives. Alertifi cannot detect all types of accidents, but we are working hard to expand the types of accidents it can detect.
