The problem is to allocate the agents in such a way that profits are maximized or costs are minimized.


This app is made to solve a special case of the assignment problem, namely an issue where the assignment will be based on the participants' own wishes. The agents have different preferences for which task they want to be assigned, and this app will try to assign them in such a way that they get their wishes fulfilled as good as possible.

The app will try to solve the problem using a search algorithm. This algorithm is not guaranteed to find the one mathematically optimal solution for large problems, but it will find a solution that is good enough for all practical problems.
