About Radio FM 90s

Shrimad Bhagavad Gita is one of the most important philosophical texts in India and one of the most important texts in human history. This book is written in poetic form in the Sanskrit language. This book, which is a part of the epic 'Mahabharata', has 18 chapters (700 verses). It is said in the story of Mahabharata that during the great war in Mahabharata, Lord Krishna gave the Gita to Arjuna in the form of guidance. Lord Krishna is considered to be a form of Lord Vishnu. This book is believed to impart supreme knowledge to man and guide him on how to live life. Commonly known as Bhagavad-gita, 'Gita'.

Gita is a dialogue between Lord Krishna and Arjuna in which Lord Krishna clears Arjuna's doubts. Lord Krishna guides Arjuna about Yoga and Vedanta with the help of various examples and similes. This makes the Gita a very important guidebook in Hinduism and a useful reference book for the philosophy of human life. Numerous philosophers, scientists, and intellectuals from different countries and religions of the world have always praised this book and given Gita a place of beacon in the vast ocean of human life.

It is said in the Bhagavad Gita that while reciting the Gita, Lord Krishna showed Arjuna His Vishwarupa and convinced him that He was God. The place of Gita in Indian culture is so important that Gita is called 'Yogopanishad' or 'Gitopanishad' and it is given the status of Upanishads. Since the Gita is instructive and interprets the Upanishads, it is also called the 'Upanishad of Upanishads'. The Gita is called 'Mokshashastra' because the knowledge contained in the Gita gives a person great satisfaction and happiness and also helps to find the way to salvation.

This Bhagavad Gita app gives easy access to the meaning of each verse & summary for each chapter in English.
