Per gli amanti della tecnologia il festival Bitume mette a disposizione una comoda guida multimediale: chiunque abbia uno smartphone con sistema operativo Android potrà infatti visitare le esposizioni sparse per il centro storico di Lecce utilizzando l’applicazione “Bitume Photofest”, scaricabile gratuitamente da Google Play Store.
L’applicazione è dotata di funzionalità che la rendono una guida ideale per il festival: oltre a fornire informazioni sulle opere esposte e sui rispettivi autori, essa mostra la posizione degli spazi espositivi all’interno di una mappa stradale, e ne calcola la distanza rispetto alla posizione dell’utente. Inoltre, essa può guidare l’utente verso le esposizioni che preferisce, oppure semplicemente, grazie alla funzione “follow me”, avvisarlo quando si trovi a passare nei paraggi.
Per ciascuna esposizione il visitatore potrà quindi consultare una breve anteprima delle opere esposte e lasciarsi guidare dal proprio smartphone attraverso le strade della città; oppure al contrario potrà scegliere di passeggiare per il centro cittadino senza una meta particolare, e di essere avvisato solo quando si trovi nei pressi di uno spazio espositivo o di una sede dedicata a workshop o altri eventi.
