About Radio FM 90s

Blaise is a powerful and flexible software package used worldwide for statistical and scientific research. The software is developed and maintained by Statistics Netherlands.

This app can be used to conduct online and offline Blaise 5 surveys.
For online surveys it is required to have an internet connection during the duration of the survey, since the survey is running on a Blaise server park in this case. The app sends the answers to the questions to the server and the server calculates a response based on the given answers and the rules and checks that have been defined for the survey. The response is send back to the app and displayed to the user.

It is also possible to run a Blaise 5 survey offline. In order to do this you first need to download a survey package to the device. The app has functionality to do this. Once the survey is installed on your device and, if needed, cases have been downloaded, one doesn't need to be online anymore to run the survey.

The collected data is stored encrypted in a secure location on the device and can be uploaded to the server at times that the device is online.

What's New in this version

This app can be used with Blaise 5.2.0, 5.2.5 and 5.3.0 server versions. This version of the app offers a first version of ACASI. This means that it is possible to play audio files during an interview session. The audio files can be stored in the resource database, but urls to audio files can also be used. An example of this functionality can be found in the Samples folder (Samples\Specific Features\ACASI)
