Before you begin you will want to measure the area you will be hanging or placing the flower covered garland. We like to place the garland on the front porch. You can also place it on the poles or pillars if you would like. After you have measured the area the flowery garland will be placed add three inches to each side for a total of six extra inches. These three inches on each side will act as your anchoring garland. You can use a stapler or staple gun to attach it.

One of the best things about this project is you can use an assortment of colored flowers for everyday use or specific colors for holidays such as red and green for Christmas, red, white and blue for the fourth of July and even pastel colors for Easter. If you use your imagination you can make a flower garland for every holiday. You can also add a sting or two of clear Christmas lights to the crepe paper flower garland at night time this is very pretty looking.

Of course you can also use this paper flower creation inside your home just follow the same basic instructions as for the one you would use outside. You can also add clusters of berries, small plastic flags, fruits, or any other decoration you would like to give it personality!

Another great idea for using paper flowers to decorate with is hanging plants or potted plants that either decorate the corner of your porch, a room in your home or line your walkway. If you are celebrating a holiday then add a few holiday specific decorations to the hanging plants or potted plants. For example an Easter potted plant could have small colorful eggs along the outside of the pot. Hanging plants could also serve as a holiday decoration by hanging a specific decoration on the bottom of the hanger.
