সুহাইল শব্দটি সাহলুন (সহজ) শব্দের ক্ষুদ্রতানির্দেশক রূপ। যার অর্থ হচ্ছে- অতিশয় সহজকারী। বিভিন্ন কবিলার ভাল অর্থবোধক নামে রাসূল সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম আশাবাদী হওয়ার নজির আছে। তিনি বলেছেন:
“গিফার (ক্ষমা করা) কবিলা তথা গোত্রের লোকদেরকে আল্লাহ ক্ষমা করে দিন। আসলাম (আত্মসমর্পণকারী/শান্তিময়) কবিলা বা গোত্রের লোকদেরকে আল্লাহ শান্তি দিন।"
