و لا ريب أنّ عقوق الوالدين من كبائر الذّنوب وإنّ الاستغفار منها يكون بالرّجوع عنها والتّوبة والنّدم عليها وطلب مغفرة الوالدين ورضاهما لكي لا ينال العبد عذاب الله في الآخرة وربّما عاجله الله بعقوقه عذاباً في الدّنيا قبل الآخرة .
