Das ist die offizielle App zur Sonderausstellung „Christoph Brech – ÜBERLEBEN, Installationen im Dialog mit dem Mittelalter “
im Bayerischen Nationalmuseum München vom 12. Mai 2016 bis 04. September 2016.

Die App enthält den Audioguide mit 30 Hörbeiträgen zur Sonderausstellung "Überleben - Christoph Brech" sowie Informationen zur Ausstellung und zum Bayerischen Nationalmuseum.

Der Foto- und Videokünstler Christoph Brech präsentiert in der Sammlung mittelalterlicher Werke des Bayerischen Nationalmuseums eine Auswahl seiner Arbeiten. In 19 Räumen sind 21 Video-, Klang- und Rauminstallationen zu sehen, mit denen Brech ikonografische Themen aufgreift, sie bildlich umsetzt oder neu interpretiert. Der Titel ÜBERLEBEN ist bewusst mehrdeutig gemeint, nicht zuletzt mit Blick auf die mittelalterlichen Kunstwerke, die in der Obhut des Museums Jahrhunderte überdauert haben.

Mit seinen Installationen stellt der Künstler vielfältige Bezüge her, die sich manchmal erst auf den zweiten Blick erschließen. So werden zwei Charakterköpfe aus dem 16. Jahrhundert mit dem Video-Porträt des Sängers Wolfgang Koch konfrontiert (entstanden 2013 im Auftrag der Bayerischen Staatsoper München), dessen künstlerische Wandlungsfähigkeit subtil in der Überblendung von sieben verschiedenen Masken dokumentiert wird.This is the official app for the special exhibition "Christoph Brech - SURVIVAL, installations in dialogue with the Middle Ages"

The photo and video artist Christoph Brech presented in the collection of medieval works of the Bavarian National Museum, a selection of his work. In 19 rooms 21 video, sound and space installations can be seen, with those crushing picks iconographic themes, will implement it figuratively or reinterpreted. The title SURVIVAL aware ambiguous meant not least in view of the medieval art, which have survived for centuries in the care of the museum.
 
With his installations, the artist produces a broad array references that sometimes become apparent only at second glance. So two character heads from the 16th century with the video-portrait of the singer Wolfgang Koch faced are (created in 2013 on behalf of the Bavarian State Opera), whose artistic versatility is subtly documented in the transition from seven different masks.
