The Fresno Chaffee Zoo is the crown jewel of Fresno, especially due to all the improvements and additions over the last several years. My family and I have been to zoos across the country, from Seattle to Boston and quite a few other zoos in between and in comparison Fresno Chaffee zoo is one of the finest zoos in the country. You get to be very close (but safe) to the animals and that provides a much more enriched experience. From tiger cubs to red wolf pups to komodo dragon to Asian elephants and galapagos tortoise to wart hog (many others of course) this zoo packs a punch for it being only 15 acres or so. It also has a re-created rain forest that is awesome. Sea Lion cove makes you forget you're in Fresno (the whole zoo does that frankly). Also, when the African Adventure is completed (will feature African elephants, white rhinos, lions, cheetahs and meerkat) it will nearly double the size of the zoo (another amazing and much anticipated addition). Besides the San Diego zoo the Fresno Chaffee zoo is the finest zoo in CA. Keep up the great work ! My family and I are glad we are annual pass holders and will be for years to come.

P.S. the $7/per person general admission price is an unbelievable bargain. A family of 4-5 can actually enjoy a day together without blowing $100 on admission alone
