The app also gives you info about steps taken, calories burned, elapsed time and distance traveled. There is also a new function called path tracking which stores data of the trail that you have hiked so far. All of the GPS and other sensor data is stored only on your phones local database and no data is stored via internet. This means the power consumption of the app is as lightweight on the phones battery as possible and the developer doesn't collect your personal user data over the internet for commercial purposes.

The time- and calorie consumption data is calculated with a carry weight -factor. This means that if you are carrying a heavy bag you will burn more calories and it will take more time for you to get to the selected point in the map.

As the app is in the navigate -mode, the phone's upper center is the actual direction the user is facing towards the map. This means the hiker can navigate to their desired location without knowing where they actually are or are they facing north,east west or south.
