Remote Expert Interventions are requested by users at the KVH Watch Manager and approved by the vessel captain for procedural control and cybersecurity.

The Remote Expert app is part of KVH Watch, an industrial IoT connectivity as a service solution. Watch includes Flow, which supports leading maritime remote condition monitoring and optimization solutions. Flow and Remote Expert allow users to both monitor remote equipment at sea and to act on issues with expert assistance from technical superintendents, service providers, and OEM support engineers onshore.

Every KVH Watch service relies on the Watch Terminal and KVH global network of high-throughput satellites for optimized connectivity. The required KVH hardware and service is offered on a subscription basis for a fixed fee.
