Surah an-Najm (The Star)
This Surah was revealed in Makkah and it has 26 ayaat. The reward for reciting this Surah is ten times the number of believers and sinners combined. The reciter will lead a respectable and honourable life and people will love and respect him.
Writing this Surah and keeping it at a talisman makes one courageous in front of the ruler and makes the ruler respect him. He also comes out victorious in debates and discussions.
Reward of reciting Surah Najm
1. The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.) said: Whoever recites Surah Najm, Allah would grant him virtues ten times the number of those who testified for the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.s.) and those who denied him.
2. Imam as-Sadiq (a.s.) says: Whoever regularly recites Surah Najm during the day or night would become praiseworthy and conspicuous among the people, would be forgiven (his sins) and would become popular and amiable among the people.
AL NAJM (52)
i) Whoever recites this surah regularly would command respect from the people and be a very popular figure, they praise and glorify him. Allah would credit him with virtues ten times the number of those who had testified the Holy Prophet.
ii) Whoever writes this surah on a lion’s skin and
wears it around the neck as a tawiz would face boldly the men-in-authority and stand his ground before them; would always have an upper hand over Shaytan; his opponents would be over powered and defeated with the power Allah that He would give him.
