P G Wodehouse was an English humorist, whose body of work includes novels, short stories, plays, poems, song lyrics and numerous pieces of journalism.

Wodehouse, popularly known as Plum, wrote over ninety books, winning worldwide acclaim. He spent the last decades of his life in the United States, becoming an American citizen in 1955. In 1975, he was created a Knight of the British Empire and he died on St Valentine's Day in the same year at the age of ninety-three.

An acknowledged master of English prose, Wodehouse has been admired both by contemporaries such as Hilaire Belloc, Evelyn Waugh and Rudyard Kipling and by recent writers such as Stephen Fry, Douglas Adams, J. K. Rowling, and John Le Carré.

I have always wanted to introduce and increase the awareness about the works of Wodehouse among younger generation and this app is born out of this labor of love. Initially, I wanted to compile only novels but, I decided to include several of his short collections as well, because, it is in these short stories you can catch Wodehouse at his best.

For those who have been fans of his work, the app promises hours and hours of re-reading pleasure. For those who will be reading the master for the first time, this app will give them a chance to get into a joyous new world !
