About Radio FM 90s
Bahay Kubo app is a digital learning companion designed for Filipino children aged 2-6 years old. It pays homage to the iconic house that has become a symbol of Filipino culture and tradition.
Why ‘Bahay Kubo’
An introduction to a new world
A well-loved folk song among Filipino kids, Bahay Kubo introduces children to different local vegetables grown around the simple hut such as singkamas, talong, and sigarilyas. If the song is a celebration of the bounty of the land, the Bahay Kubo app is host to a variety of interactive learning contents for young children.
A modern way to learn
Over the years, the typical bahay kubo structure has been modernized for the 21st century. Likewise, learning for young children is now made more engaging with interactive mobile apps like the Bahay Kubo Tagalog app.
A collective effort
The bahay kubo is an embodiment of the bayanihan spirit as it cannot be built, let alone, moved by one person only. Same is true with the app, which is a product of a collective effort between Smart and its content partner the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Council, an attached agency of the Department of Education.
