About Radio FM 90s

Kendo (剣 道 kendō?) Is a modern martial art from Japan that uses swords. Kendo comes from the word "ken (剣)" meaning "sword", and "dō (道)" meaning "path". So the meaning of kendo as a whole is a path / process of self-discipline that forms a brave and loyal samurai personality. Kendo combines elements of martial arts, art and sport. In practice, Kendo uses equipment such as:

Uniform: Kendo gi and hakama
The sword of bamboo (shinai)
Bogu, which consists of:
Men (head protector)
Do (body armor)
Kote (hand protection)
Tare (protector of thighs and genitals)

Kendo exercise (keiko) consists of various purposes to develop themselves. Like other martial arts, kendo requires high discipline and full dedication to practice, such as ethics (religion), posture and stepping techniques, and how to swing the right sword.

There are 4 types of attacks in kendo, namely:

1. Men
Headache. The target of the cut is from the tip of the forehead to the chin.
2. Kote
Slashing hands. If the opponent uses chudan-no-kamae, then the target is the right hand, but if the opponent uses jodan-no-kamae, the target is the left hand. If the opponent uses two swords (nito-ryu), then both arms can be targeted.
3. Do
Body freedom. The target is the left or right side of the abdomen.
4. Tsuki
Puncture. The only target is the neck.
For tsuki techniques, great skill is required and proper puncture target setting, therefore this stance should only be used by senior members, and is not recommended for use at the time of the game unless approved by the trainer (sensei).
Here are some kendo training techniques.
