• To ensure we have the facts and verified data in order to work with SAPS, The Hawks, Crime Intelligence, National Prosecution Authority and Victim Support Services to bring about a positive approach in both prevention strategies, responses and support to victims.

• To ensure that there is no propagandistic use of the tragedies surrounding murders in South Africa, but rather clear thinking support, solution finding and helping victims to heal in their life changing journey ahead.

Our specialist operational VCAT NPO (Violent Crime & Technology Support) provides individual, independent, highly skilled support to enable children, young people and adults recover and move beyond the impact of crime. This is achieved by ensuring that the proper processes are taking place and all supportive services, components and available technologies are used from the minute a case is lodged to finalisation in court; a teamwork like no other to murder response.

Last year we offered support to 119 murder cases. We understand the impact that crime has on people’s lives and know what it takes to help them get their lives back on track. Our expertise and experience are the reason why 98% of victims and organisations we supported last year were satisfied with the support we gave them.

Our support services are free, confidential, tailored to individual needs and continue for as long as it takes. Because we understand the impact that crime has on people and their communities, we’re able to work with them to rebuild their lives after crime.
